Registration of CSRD authorised external auditors

When the CSRD Implementation Act enters into force, external auditors who provide assurance on CSRD sustainability reporting must be visible in the AFM register.

The European CSRD Directive is currently being implemented in Dutch laws and regulations. The precise date of entry into force is not yet known. Your audit firm can now register its CSRD-authorised external auditors for inclusion in the AFM register. On the day that the CSRD Implementation Act enters into force, we will include the external auditor(s) you have registered in the AFM register.

Unfortunately, this registration cannot yet be submitted via our AFM Portal. However, you can easily submit your registration using this form. Please email the completed form to wta@afm.nl. We kindly request that you return the completed attachment securely, for example via Cryptshare.

Who to register using the form?

Only external auditors who provide assurance on the sustainability reporting prescribed under the CSRD for the 2024 financial year should be registered using the form. This concerns auditors who are already listed in the register of auditors referred to in Section 36, subsection 1 of the Accountancy Profession Act (Wet op het accountantsberoep).
