Responsible disclosure

You can report a weak spot in an AFM IT system, such as afm.nl, to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). The NCSC is the central information hub and expertise centre for cyber security in the Netherlands and is part of the Ministry of Justice and Security. You can submit your report via the e-mail address cert@ncsc.nl. Please report the vulnerability issue before you make it known to the public, so that the AFM can take measures first. This is called 'Responsible Disclosure'.

When it comes to information security, the AFM must comply with central government standards. If you want to know what requirements a report must meet or what happens to your report, please visit the website of the Government of the Netherlands for more information.

Data trackers

Our website contains four data trackers:

DoubleClick

This is Google's advertising network. DoubleClick is loaded on the website section Working at AFM, so that online marketing tools can be deployed for the recruitment of new staff and trainees. DoubleClick is currently not active and will soon be removed from the website.

SiteImprove

SiteImprove is used to gain insight into what visitors do on the website. The data collected with SiteImprove is anonymised and cannot be traced back to a person.

Tag Manager

Tag Manager is used to facilitate the placement of codes on the website. Tag manager itself does nothing. Codes that we place via Tag Manager do not contain any privacy-sensitive information.

New Relic

New Relic is our performance monitoring tool. We use this tool to keep an eye on how fast the website is responding. If there are problems or complaints that a page is not loading properly, we can monitor this with New Relic. All the data collected by New Relic are averages that are sent in anonymised form to New Relic. Thus, New Relic does not contain any user data.

With software such as Ghostery, it is a simple matter to determine yourself which trackers you want to block on a website. Thus, you can also do this for the trackers on our website.
