Securities issuers

Securities issuers and other participants in financial markets have to comply with a given set of laws and regulations. The AFM supervises companies’ compliance with these laws and regulations under the Financial Supervision Act and the Financial Reporting Supervision Act.

Financial reporting

The financial reporting of listed companies is an important source of information for investors, analysts, suppliers and other stakeholders. Therefore, listed companies must comply with statutory reporting requirements and (international) standards.

Prospectus supervision

When companies want to issue financial securities such as shares or bonds, they are required to publish a prospectus that is approved by the AFM. Companies wishing to list securities on regulated markets such as Euronext Amsterdam also need to publish an AFM approved prospectus.
