Eurocastle Announces an Investment in Two Non-Performing Loan Portfolios

Guernsey. 8 December 2015 - Eurocastle Investment Limited (Euronext Amsterdam: ECT) ("Eurocastle" or the "Company") announces that the Company has acquired or committed to acquire a 25% share in two portfolios of non-performing loans with a combined Gross Book Value ("GBV") of approximately €65 million from two different sellers. Portfolio #1 has a gross book value of approximately €18 million of which ~85% is secured by first lien mortgages. It was acquired as part of a series of anticipated transactions with an Italian banking group. Portfolio #2 is larger and more secured, with €47 million gross book value of which 96% is secured by first lien mortgages.
