Zaandam, the Netherlands, September 1, 2014 - Ahold has repurchased 1,300,492 Ahold common shares in the period from August 25, 2014 up to and including August 29, 2014. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 12.8991 per share for a total consideration of € 16.78 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013 as increased by € 1.5 billion to a total amount of € 2 billion announced on June 4, 2013.
