Over the first half of 2014 Achmea Bank reported a loss before tax of EUR 12 million compared to a profit of EUR 18 million in the same period last year. The result was largely affected by a lower fair value result (-/- EUR 24 million) and higher operating expenses (-/- EUR 14 million). The interest margin increased by EUR 6 million.
