PostNL intends to sell part of its stake in TNT Express

Amsterdam, 5 December 2013 – TNT Express N.V. (TNT Express) has taken note of the announcement today by PostNL N.V. (PostNL) that it intends to sell approximately 15% of the outstanding share capital of TNT Express by means of an accelerated book building process, starting immediately.
Prior to this sale PostNL holds 29.8% of the outstanding share capital of TNT Express as a result of the demerger of TNT Express from TNT N.V. in May 2011.
The Relationship Agreement between TNT Express and PostNL allows PostNL to sell its shareholding in whole or in part in an orderly market manner and within prescribed parameters. (The full text of the Relationship Agreement is available on TNT Express’ corporate website.)
