Heijmans acquires Tilburg Energy Factory contract

The De Dommel District Water Board has awarded Heijmans a contract for the design, realisation and maintenance of an Energy Factory at the site of the Municipality of Tilburg's sewage treatment plant. The objective is to treat the sewage sludge from the De Dommel's management area in the most economically favourable way, carry out the sewage water purification process in an energy-neutral way and sell the biogas to third parties. The contract is valued at € 31 million.
