Amsterdam, the Netherlands, January 2, 2012 - Ahold has repurchased 551,781 Ahold common shares in the period from December 27, 2011 up to and including December 30, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 10.2129 per share for a total consideration of € 5.64 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 80,528,545 common shares for a total consideration of € 728.30 million.
