Amsterdam, the Netherlands, October 17, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 2,033,824 Ahold common shares in the period from October 10, 2011 up to and including October 14, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of EUR 9.0114 per share for a total consideration of EUR 18.33 million. These repurchases were made as part of the EUR 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
