Amsterdam, the Netherlands, July 11, 2011 - Ahold has repurchased 1,643,559 Ahold common shares in the period from July 4, 2011 up to and including July 8, 2011. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.3084 per share for a total consideration of € 15.29 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 1 billion share buyback program announced on March 3, 2011.
