Amsterdam, the Netherlands, January 20, 2011 - Ahold today announced consolidated net sales of €7.0 billion for the fourth quarter of 2010, an increase of 5.5% over the fourth quarter of 2009 after adjustments for constant exchange rates and the impact of an additional week in 2009 (an increase of 2.6% on a non-adjusted basis). For the full year 2010, net sales were €29.5 billion, up 4.4% after adjustments (up 5.7% on a non-adjusted basis).
