Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold has repurchased 1,768,525 Ahold common shares in the period from September 27, 2010 up to and including October 1, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of
€ 9.9670 per share for a total consideration of € 17.63 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
