Amsterdam, 19 May 2009 – In reaction to publications in the German media, TNT confirms that it is in talks with the Georg von Holtzbrinck publishing group on forming a possible distribution partnership. Although there is still no level playing field in the German postal market, due to the ongoing uncertainties regarding minimum wage and VAT, TNT remains interested to strengthen its current position as the leading alternative provider of mail services in Germany. TNT Post has been operating on the German postal market for almost ten years. Besides building up its own distribution networks in key economic areas, TNT Post has focused on building a nationwide distribution network. This has been done via partners and acquiring shares in several distribution companies.
