Guernsey, Channel Islands, July 27, 2008--KKR Private Equity Investors, L.P. (Euronext Amsterdam: KPE) and KKR & Co. L.P. (collectively with its consolidated affiliates, "KKR") announced today that they have entered into an agreement providing for the acquisition of all of the assets, and assumption of all of the liabilities, of KPE by KKR. In conjunction with this transaction, KKR will become a publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange (the "NYSE") under the symbol KKR.
