Grontmij extends its activities in Poland

Grontmij in Poland, one of the leading consultancy firms on water treatment, acquired
today 100% of the shares of KPI System, a Katowice based design company. With this
acquisition Grontmij enters the Polish transportation market.
KPI System has strong references in the southern part of Poland, especially in Katowice,
Cracow and Wroclaw. The company was involved in the design of express roads,
motorways, bridges, light rail systems and also made designs for private investments.
During the previous three years KPI carried out approx. 55 projects. KPI was also
involved in feasibility studies for motorways and for public transport. Its main clients are
the national and regional road authorities, the cities and public transport companies.
KPI System has a workforce of 40 staff. Its annual turnover is approximately PLN 4
million. KPI System will contribute to the net result in 2008.
