Our businesses delivered profitable sales growth, which was driven by our success in selling an increasingly wide selection of products to our customer base. The rate of profit growth is about double the rate of sales growth. Significant steps were taken during the quarter that we believe will help drive strong earnings momentum in the latter part of 2006 and beyond.’ ‘The current macroeconomic trends support our positive stance about our prospects for continued sales growth in 2006. Although gross contribution could be affected by inflationary increases, particularly in paper based product categories in North America, we are committed to offset this to a large extent by cost management following the streamlining of our North American operations, and by continued growth in private label sales.
