Explores Considerations for CICS SOA Performance and Architecture
ATLANTA – March 2, 2006 – Seagull Software (AEX: SEAGULL), a leading provider of high-performance solutions that transform legacy business applications into service-oriented architecture (SOA) assets, announced that it will be presenting and exhibiting its mainframe Web services solutions at the 2006 SHARE User conference beginning Sunday, March 5 – 10 in Seattle, Washington.
Charles Jones, Seagull Software’s Mainframe Solutions Architect, will host a speaker session Monday, March 6 at 3:00 PT. His speaking topic is entitled, “SOA Performance and Architecture Considerations for CICS”.
The speaker session takes an in-depth look at various architecture options available to transform CICS applications into an SOA, based on the premise that a 'one size fits all' solution for migrating mainframe applications to a service-oriented architecture (SOA) does not exist. Best practices and integration techniques are explored. Additionally, the performance implications of various CICS APIs and connectivity options will be analyzed.
