PHILIPS COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF AGILENT’S STAKE IN LUMILEDS
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) announced today that the transaction to acquire the shares of Agilent LED International in Lumileds Lighting International B.V. for approximately US$ 950 million, which was announced on August 15, 2005, has been completed, meaning that the shares of Agilent LED International in Lumileds Lighting International B.V. have been transferred to Philips Lumileds Holding B.V.
As a result of the transaction, Lumileds will be financially consolidated with immediate effect.
